Freedom of Voice

“The Protection of Information Bill, which seeks to classify a wide range of information and curtail press freedom by regulating and punishing journalists, has sparked a nationwide debate on the notion of media freedom in a democratic society.” – from University World News (August 2010).

Can we as a nation with a truly democratic constitution allow this to happen to the people of South Africa? We cannot allow our voices to be choked. What are we going to do to stop this?
